My Journey - Education and Career

As is the norm, I acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Master Of Arts Degree in Economics. However, I soon realized that although I studied these subjects because I was interested in them, they simply were not holding my interest beyond a point.

During the time I spent realizing this, I worked at several places doing the kind of work which never seemed to hold me down at one place for long. For example: I worked in a job where I answered and made telephone calls, worked at different administrative posts, worked in night shifts doing data entry for an international container shipping line, and also worked in a call centre where I answered customer service calls for a UK bank.

What I did do consistently, however, was write: in diaries, on my computer on my free website on geocities (which I made all by myself!). I wrote short stories, poems and articles about whatever caught my fancy. I became a big fan of the Internet simply because it allowed me the means to easily quench my thirst for more knowledge, and because I could easily put my writing on the website for the world to see. (Blogging was not so big in India back in the late 90s).

Working For Myself - Content Writing and Tarot Cards

Towards the end of the year 2005, I was reading Tarot cards professionally, conducting Tarot Workshops, Training people in Creative Writing and working as the Head of the Content Department at a local Mass Media organization. What I also realized was that I couldn’t see myself chained to a desk for the rest of my life. So I took the plunge and decided to become a full-fledged freelancer.

I won’t say that the journey was a breeze - but it was definitely worth the process of discovery of my own potential and then seeing it take shape over the past couple of years. The feeling that I am on the right path has never left me since I took the leap of faith. And the results are pretty obvious! The work-life balance that I have generated with this change, allows me to remain focused, challenged and creative - and consequently generate terrific results for my clients.

New Jump - Outsourcing Article Writing Work

As the ensuing transition is evolving in my professional life, I find myself offering a similar opportunity of discovery for others like me who find their passion in writing, and who would also like to make some money while they are at it. I have begun outsourcing SEO article writing work and have a dedicated team of talented writers with whom I share a wonderful working relationship.

Taking up challenges is part of the growth process and I relish the opportunities that the Universe has offered me in this journey of life. I stand firm by my belief every single day: If you do what you love and love what you do, then your life is full of the joy of love - and that the Universe will always reward you if you work for it!
