Adding Video content to your WordPress website’s pages and posts can add a lot of pizzaz to your site’s content. With information being dispersed in audio and video format combined, your site’s visitors will surely be interested to stop and watch the video and learn the new information that you want to share.

And yes, there’s a plugin for that!

You Tube Embed Codes

One of the basic methods of putting in a You Tube video into your blog’s posts or pages is using the embed code that You Tube so readily provides on its site.

If you click on the ‘embed’ button right below the You Tube video, you will see several options including options to set the size of the video and whether you want to include the ‘related videos’ feature in the video or not.

Once you have made your selection, you can then copy the code that You Tube generates, and paste it into the ‘HTML’ section of the editor in your WordPress content editor. Naturally, this should ensure that the video gets displayed into your WordPress post or page.

However, sometimes you might want to customize the placement of the You Tube video even further. From among the number of plugins that’ll let you embed You Tube videos in your WordPress post or page, the one that I like the best is called Fast Tube.

Fast Tube is an awesome plugin for helping you embed videos into your WordPress blog. It gives you the facility to set up all your options for the look and feel right in the plugin’s settings. So once you’ve got all that set up, then all you have to do is embed the shortcode for each video in your blog post or page, and you are ready to go!
